I am using exotic hardwoods exclusively, many of which are somewhat rare. Since the wood is so expensive it does not make sense right now to make a disposable drum set stick. Each pair is unique but I do have several different tips that I can recreate (see pictures).

The sticks have great articulation, balance and a nice solid weight to them. In my opinion it is a great all-round stick, and it especially shines in the jazz arena when playing on thin hand . I was looking at Rick Dior's sticks which are .625" in diameter (maple) and Todd Sucherman's Sticks which are 5b's (maple). I was surprised Rick's sticks were so thick especially for the type of music he plays.
