Oddly, it does seem to function as a genuine G-Shock with settings and functions seeming to work as per the manual, with the exception of the auto-light. That does not work at all. I've posted some pics below and await the expert views of the G-Shock community here!
Looks fake to me - the buttons protrude too much over the button protectors - they look almost flush with the button-guard but should be recessed a few mm. edit: didn't even notice the most obvious - the positive displays.
