However based on previous quality issues thread I am very concerned about the wear and tear of the gold hardware. I’ve my had my ysl Kate bag for a few years now and take extremely good care of it but recently I’ve noticed that the gold on the logo and the chain are becoming discolored. Does anyone know how to fix this? I’ve asked a few bag repair shops and they’ve told me that they can’t repair hardware.

I bought this Loulou 6 months ago in Capri and noticed the hardware is tarnished. I cannot remember if the tarnish is getting worse. Will YSL fix this if I take it to the store?
#1. A couple of the Saint Laurent bags on my wishlist have the black hardware and I wondered: If your bag has black hardware, how has it held up with use? I have heard stories about the black paint chipping and this is something that concerns me, especially in areas with constant friction between pieces of hardware, like shoulder strap clasps, etc.
Have a look at the hardware on mine in my old post. The bag is 6-7 years old, and has seen on and off heavy use over the time. I am definitely careful with my bags, but this one has been on trip/to bars/grocery store. it got used. On a wallet-on-chain, each card slot should be functional and have a base. Sometimes on counterfeits, card slots will be slits and cards will fall right through. If the bag shows no sign of use, neither should the slots. Any sign of tearing or wear could indicate inauthenticity.

I saw petrosin at the parts store today and asked cause they have two dot4's for BMW. Is there a spec? or what are you guys using w/o issues.?
