I am very curious to know what number is above the "15/423" on your clasp. That number seems to indicate the date of production of the clasp/bracelet, and would help us know if the theory above is correct. Today I picked up a vintage Tudor Prince Date Day and it was fitted with a newish steel Rolex Oyster bracelet. Inside the clasp it is marked OP8 and 15/423; in each end-piece is 53 16520. Also, note that apparantly the "15/423" code has not changed since Mike bought his SS GMT IIc (which is long ago). Could indicate that the code has nothing to do with "date" or "number of production", but is a FIXED code for _something_ (and my guess is that it is some sort of country code).1stDibs dealers discuss the challenges of this unprecedented time, and the signs of hope. I'd think it has naught to do with the watch, but the bracelet, as I believe these bracelets can be fitted on more than 1 model of the newer Rolex line. Since were talking about the new Bracelet which, I LOVE! Clasp code is OP8 15/423, end links are solid, code is 97200, glidelock bracelet. Bracelet is in good quality, looks genuine as well. I suspect that it might be possible that this is a franken watch, all the genuine parts were put together.
