If 45mm wasn't big enough, the lug to lug is about the same as the diameter of Jupiter. The lug tips hung off of my wrist like long metal pipes hang out of an overly confident light pickup owner. If you were within a metre of me you would have been impaled by a lug tip. The Classic Fusion Essential Grey has a case diameter of 45.5 mm and lug to lug measurement of 52.3 mm. The case is 10.8 mm thick and the watch weighs 106 grams on our scale. This large watch manages to have such a low weight due to being crafted out of titanium. I used to be one of those people who thought of Hublot watches as watches for people who just wanted to flash. I would always say I hate the look of them, and they're just oversized, overprices garbage. Now though, I'm truly in love with the Classic Fusion line and can't wait to purchase one. The lugs curve gently, allowing the strap to sit flush against the wrist. This design choice not only enhances comfort but also gives the watch a more cohesive look. The Classic Fusion line is something of a remix of the original Hublot design. Within the collection, specifically the three-hand sub-collection, you'll find pieces ranging from 33mm to 45mm. When I strapped 38mm of titanium to my wrist, I felt I was wearing a vintage piece.
Then you have the case on the most bottom part, nicely rounded and curved, and ends with the usually called "dog leg" lugs from the bygone Constellation era. While I think all these features are great, individually, how Hublot managed to pull them off together, is .Of note, I have a smaller wrist and while I can pull off the occasional 40-41 MM if the piece has a shorter lug to lug, I find 38 MM pieces are my sweat spot.
